During the event, Minister Aryal observed the operations of the cell and received briefings on its functions, applications, and potential utility.The inauguration was attended by Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha, Inspector General of Nepal Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki, Armed Police Force IGP Raju Aryal, Additional Police Inspectors General, senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, and deputy inspectors general of police.The establishment of the AI-AAC comes amid rising challenges to national security, crime investigation, prevention, and control posed by cybercrime, misinformation and disinformation, organised criminal networks, financial fraud, and digital campaigns aimed at creating social instability. The cell utilises Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, and Automation to create a high-tech, strategic, and forward-looking infrastructure under the Nepal Police Headquarters.The key objectives of the AI-AAC include institutionalising and strengthening artificial intelligence, developing proactive intelligence and early warning systems, en...
