The Opportunity: CACI's Analytics Solution's Internal Research and Development (IRAD) group is seeking a Data Scientist/Researcher to work in our research and development lab in Denver, CO. The IRAD team researches and develops software-based solutions that support multiple sectors, including Defense, National Security, and Intelligence. This role involves solving complex technical challenges and developing innovative software in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a cross-disciplinary team to research new applications of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning analytics.
- Implement experiments by leveraging open source and custom tools and techniques.
- Use critical thinking to assess deficiencies in existing solutions and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3+ years of related experience.
- University Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related Engineering discipline.
- Expertise in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
- Experience applying supervised and unsupervised ML techniques to RF datasets.
- Strong foundation in statistical estimation, linear algebra, and optimization.
- Knowledge of various machine learning techniques, including regression, neural networks, and natural language processing.
- Experience with Python and modern deep learning frameworks, such as Keras, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to gather detailed information and analyze undefined problems.
- Creativity in developing technical solutions.
- Ability to influence others regarding policies and practices.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
Desired:
- Experience in research and development (R&D) environments.
- Experience in Agile development teams using DevOps methodology.
- Experience in cross-functional teams following SCRUM/Sprint-based execution.
- Experience delivering software systems for DoD customers.
